Carol Delaney, M.S., is a small ruminant dairy consultant and author of A guide to starting a commercial goat dairy. She was a faculty member with the University of Vermont Department of Animal Science and Extension (1998-2008). Twice during that time, she hosted the Great Lakes Dairy Sheep Symposium in Vermont. During the week, she works full-time for Northeast Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education, a USDA grant program in Burlington, Vermont.
She also co-authored a chapter, Goats: Replacement Management , in the recent edition of the Encyclopedia of Dairy Science. (see Publications page)
She has presented at small ruminant workshops in Vermont, New York, Connecticut, Tennessee, and Alabama. Internationally, she has volunteered as a small ruminant educator in Mali (September 2012) and in El Salvador (April 2013) with Winrock International.
